Back to the twitterverse…

Here we are again with our random update of funny things happening at Twitter and we feel like we are watching a real life version of inception

Is this just a dream within a dream within a dream? Or a nightmare for Mr. Musk? So what is happening you are asking. Well we just came across this funny update from rolling stone about twitter and loved it. Basically, the thing that Elon is basing some actions on the site can be the exact thing that he made such a stink about before buying. And if you aren’t sure what we are talking about, as most of the time we get pretty confused anyway but the thing is polls.

What is a Twitter Poll?

Twitter polls are a fun and interactive way to engage with your followers and gather data from them. With Twitter polls, users have the ability to easily create simple surveys, gauging opinions or gather feedback from their audience. This can be a great way for businesses to quickly get valuable insight into what their customers think about their products or services, as well as build relationships with followers.

Twitter polls are created using Twitter’s polling feature which allows you to ask your followers up to four questions in one tweet. You can also set an expiration date for the poll so that it will automatically close after that date has passed. Once you’ve created your poll, people can respond by clicking on the answer they agree with most and then submit it directly from the tweet itself.

So whats the big deal?

Well apparently some of the people who used to work at Twitter pointed out that Polls are one of the most bot abused aspects of the entire site, community or whatever you want to call Twitter. Some devs had said that the polls were very susceptible to abuse by bots and could very easily been influenced. So it makes us wonder, when Elon was talking about having Twitter turn into a town hall… is this what he meant? It would basically like going to a town hall meeting and someone is playing some statement over and over on stereo blasters… so the voices are echoed but controlled by one person.

So is this good? We don’t know , but what we do know is that if the voting is rigged… then the results and actions are hollow… to say the least.
